I am a bona-fide syndication freak. Before the advent of RSS, atom, and other world live web technologies, the only site I read regularly was the BBC. Now, with the help of aggregators, I sit back and let the headlines come to me. Now my online reading encompasses countless sites… many of which I would otherwise forget about if it wasn't for the occasional headline trickling in. The time for the world live web is now, and the possibilities are endless.

Wordpress: Comment Validation Hack

Edit: Since setting up my blog again after a long hiatus, I no longer use this system, though I never encountered any problems with it.

I use a simple comment validation hack on my site as a first defense against spam. The system uses what's known as a Turing number, named after the mathematician Alan Turing. If you have ever signed up for an e-mail account at yahoo or gone to e-gold's website, you know what I'm talking about. Here's how I did it.
